Starting as an Asian Pacific American community-based filmmaker's collective in 1970, VC has presented honest and accurate depictions of Asian American and Pacific Islander peoples, communities and heritages.

Since its formation in 2002, VC has had over 150 fellows participate in our Armed With a Camera (AWC) Fellowship. During the program, fellows produce a short film that premieres at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
